I am a sushi fanatic and this place is so so so delicious!! Easily one of my new favorites!! I was nervous to bring my mom along to a new resto because she is picky and she loved it too!! Its a little resto which I liked. Not too many people. Service was great. I asked for recommendations as it was our first time and the waiter was great and extremely helpful. Sushi was so fresh! We had spicy rainbow, which I was expecting to be basic but it ended up being my favorite, spider roll, red dragon (no mango but that's preference), and one more roll which I forget the name but it had jalapeños on top. Delicious. Can't wait to go back!

The sushi is fantastic! I recommend Rise Sushi to everyone It's my wife and I go to sushi place in Boca I would recommend making a Rez. This place is packed on a Tuesday at 6pm. You can only guess why. Quality food and service at Rise. Don't hesitate, go here for sushi!

Went when I was in Florida for vacation. Great sushi and the servers were very knowledgeable and helpful. Kind of cool that the shop was tucked away in the corner of a little shopping center. Would recommend!

My favorite local sushi joint. Love both Mike and Vivian. Come here so often they comp the edamame! The Yellowstone is their best roll served with warm sea bass on top.

Absolutely amazing food! I have lived here my whole life and just recently discovered this place and will be a regular! The soup is bursting with flavor and very filling and all sushi is very fresh and large portions. I can't say enough good things from the wonderful wait staff to the quick service and just outstanding food.

The chicken kha gai is where it's at. Service was excellent and there were plenty sushi options to fit any palette. The toro roll was particularly delicious. Good date spot or place to go with the family.

Looking for very nice sushi? Stop here. Looking for comfortable, somewhat mellow? Don't stop. It's a trade off, I struggle with my longing for sushi but falter when I remember each time we have eaten here, we struggle to hear each other talk. We struggle with tiny tables just packed together. It's been a place we have visited for seven years, special date nights. We will not be going as often and regret it! Last Thursday our table to my left had two lovely ladies talking in normal voices. We couldn't avoid listening. Our conversation slowed as we knew we couldn't keep our voices low. A waiter offered us a tiny booth and we started to move. A mature, nice couple screamed at the door, "they took our table!" We immediately retreated in stunned silence. The girl next to us said, you nearly ruined HER evening! Since when do you drop $90 for a lovely dinner for two at a busy intersection! Hey managers. Quit squeezing your loyal patrons at tiny tables on top of each other?! We don't want to compete w noise, tvs, crowds and shrill loudness at dinner. Signed, we are breaking up with you finally.

Delicious sushi and great service! They went out of their way to accommodate my elderly mother and myself without a reservation. That spoke volumes of the kind of people they are.. I will be back!

I heard about this place from a CoWorker on Friday before the holiday weekend and made a point to go try it. Had the Red Dragon roll and it was amazing. First time I have arena roll with all of my favorite additives! Salmon, shrimp AND TUNA?!? Dream come true, I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to everyone!

This hidden spot was discovered by a group of hungry visitors. It's a nice spot, fresh food. We ordered the seared salmon appetizer with a small order of egg fried rice (small is enough for 5 feedings), american roll and the happy birthday roll. Everything was enjoyable and delicious. Although, the space was decorated in a unique way to invite inside dining...the place is tiny. As we dined, the sounds thorughtout the paced carried over as though we were in a lunch room. Other than that...we enjoyed the food, service and drinks.

Best sushi I've had in Boca Raton area! They take so much pride in the quality of the food, preparation and presentation! Also, owner is really sweet..always gives me something new to try, like the king fish appetizer. Try their special rolls, like the Yellowstone with Chilean Sea Bass on top. Fair warning, you will be addicted....don't say I didn't warn you!

Rise has always been one of our favorite Asian restaurants in the area... Clearly falling within the four to five star range... I had never reviewed this restaurant following our earlier visits ...but now that we have moved into the Boca area we have frequented Rise several times only to be disappointed... My wife recently had to return a noodle dish because it just didn't taste right... It looked like dishwater and tasted about the same... Of course using my imagination since I never truly tasted dishwater... More recently I ordered a soft shell crab dish in a black bean sauce( since June is in the middle of the soft shell crab season) ....The dish was well-prepared except for the fact that the soft shell crab was "extremely fishy".... I was about ready to return it, except I was a bit embarrassed since my wife had returned the noodle dish one visit before.. Moreover, I rarely return dishes except in exceptional cases when the quality of the food is incontestable.. Curiously not every piece of the soft shell crab had a strong fishy taste. We also had ordered an eel roll.... the rice was not as "well packed" as the noisey tables.....but it tasted fine. We normally have enjoyed Rise , not only because of its excellent extensive menu and various asian food preparations but also because of its efficient service and very pleasant owner.... Hopefully Rise is not sinking. If we return it will be with some degree of hesitation. My best guess at this time is that Rise was extremely busy particularly on this Saturday night....when every seat was filled in a noisey small room. People are waiting in line to get in.... Is the busy-ness creating some sloppiness in kitchen?? This review is not written in anger....but in disappointment.

WOW! AMAZING!! When it comes to sushi I am extremely picky. I ordered the Chef's Platter for One and I might as well have share it with the table next to me. It was not only a lot of food but it tasted great. The restaurant eating area includes an 8 seat/chair sushi bar and seating for approximately 50 more. The restaurant was a bit loud but it was because you are enjoying the food. Reservations are highly recommended as the place fills up. There is plenty of FREE PARKING. A wine list is available too. They appear to have a large take-out business as well. This place is highly recommended. They are located on SW 18th Street between Military and Powerline.

It has to mean something if I've been here twice and I still can't find anything interesting to put in a review. I eat a lot if sushi so I'm always excited to try something new , they have a HUGE menu with ingredients that I like to see in sushi like mango so I thought this place was going to show me a new roll or two. The restaurant itself is crowded and the tables are packed together. Both times I showed up without a reso and there was no wait but by the time I left there was a line out the door. Over my two visits I tried 6 rolls, on the first visit I just tried 2 and they were good , so I came back 2 weeks later and ordered 4 different rolls. Here is where I get underwhelmed , I quickly realize all of these rolls basically taste the same , they are huge , covered in sauce , and the unique ingredient in each is lost to the rest of the roll. I don't know , I'll try it again some day, but I've had better.

While we were in boca, we wanted to try a new sushi place and rise caught out our eye via yelp reviews. The ambiance was nice and modern, but oh man, the food was divine. Having lived in japan, i am very picky about fish quality when it comes to sashimi. I ordered the chirashizushi and everything was like butter. Smooth, flavorful and fresh. A few friends tried diffrent things like the cucumber salad(amazing) and the chicken udon(also good). Now, is this place 100% authentic japanese cuisine? Of course not, its fusion. They do take their artistic libeties in adding ingredients like broccoli to udon and such, but the quality of food is amazing. You will not be dissapointed!

Hands down the best sushi restaurant around! Sushi is my favorite food and I've tried many of restaurants, this is by far the best quality sushi I've had in all of South Florida!
(5)
Corey K.
Best I can say is that other than the miso soup, the sushi is quite bland.... the worst I can say is they also served it warm... might have been an off night..it happens. Rude, combative owner...? Yeah, that's not going to get fixed. In her defense, she did comp the meal.. in my defense potential listeria from warm fish she should pay me!

This place puts every sushi restaurant to shame in South Florida. The fish is TOP QUALITY and the rolls are some of the best I've had anywhere. The sushi menu and sushi rolls resembles the look and taste of a Californian sushi restaurant. If you prefer the style of west coast versus east coast sushi - you'll love Rise. The service is excellent and always enjoy myself here. Two MAJOR negatives - this place is entirely too small and word is spreading like wild fire about how excellent this place is. Be expected to wait for a table every time you eat here.

Date night with the Hubs in a great place! Great ambiance and modern clean place. We came here for the sushi and it did not let us down. Really fresh fish, nicely rolled rolls and very tasty appetizers. A nice place to go for sushi in the area.

Can't believe this is my first time here... Even less that I've been in this plaza dozens of times and had not seen it. If it wasn't for the reviews on Yelp, I would still not know it existed and that would be very bad... Rise is so good you don't want to miss trying it. As soon as I read all the good reviews, I told my friend about it and immediately we planned a "lunch date". We met around 1pm, we were immediately greeted and, since it wasn't that busy, we were able to chose where to sit. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. Server was quick with menus, including lunch specials, and drinks. I had seen the menu online and was ready to order... I went with the Blue Crab Dynamite Roll (imitation crab, cucumber, topped with avocado, and cooked/ warm blue crab). The plate is drizzled with eel sauce which went really well with the blue crab. Can't wait to try more. Thanks to my fellow yelpers for helping me find a new lunch spot, and so close to work!

I am a huge sushi fan, and in terms of convenience there is nothing within 30 mins of my house that compares to the quality and prices found at Rise. Their fish is extremely fresh and they do not skip on portion size. You must try the Tom Yum soup with the shrimp. If you like heat and flavor this soup has it all. They also have tvs strategically located so you can catch the games.

Best Lunch special! 3 rolls and soup or salad for about $10. Their shrimp salad roll is my favorite!

Rise has the best sushi I have found in the area so far. The decor is nice, the service was fast and the server we had was pleasant and attentive. Overall it was a nice experience and we will go again. If I had any complaints I would say it's a bit pricey but this is Boca and good sushi is rarely cheap.

So we walked in here for dinner last night, around 6:30 and there were 2 or 3 empty tables and only 2 or 3 people seated at the bar. The hostess greeted us and asked how many were in our party - only two. Since the tables that were empty were tables for 4 she refused to seat us and told us that we would have to wait. After a few seconds back and forth questioning whether the empty tables were reserved (for which they were not), we eventually decided to sit at the bar. I'm not real sure as to which waiter was our server as I think just about every single one of them approached us throughout our meal. The food was okay but the service really but a sour taste in my mouth. The one good thing that I will say about sitting at a the bar of a very crowded (small) restaurant is getting to know your neighbors, it almost forces you to be social and make the best of the situation. Honestly, I will not be back here but if you're in the area and are looking for sushi, we got to see all of the dishes coming out and they were pretty creative. The lemon grass soup is pretty good too.

Best sushi in all of South Florida. I kid you not. I cannot imagine anything better. Unreal !! A must if you're into sushi. Very busy, service excellent, many unique dishes plus the traditional rolls, sashimi, tamaki, wide soup variety too. This place rocks.

Great find in Boca! Been disappointed with the sushi choices in Boca for some time. Not anymore. Place was packed on a Saturday night as the place is small. A little chaotic trying to get a table but they were accommodating. The menu had a lot to offer and started with some nice saki. Tried the spicy tuna, hamachi jalapeño and feasted on the fresh sashimi. They have wahoo which happens to be my favorite sashimi so big points there. The service seemed a little flustered with the heavy workload but they came through and did a good job. I will be back again.

This place was recommended by a friend. We arrived on a Monday night around 7pm. It was packed which we thought was a great sign. We waited at the hostess station for at least 10mins and nobody acknowledged us. We were about to walk out when I decided to check the end of the bar. There were two spots open so we took them. We were greeted within a few minutes and ordered drinks (hot tea and iced green tea). It arrived promptly. We ordered food: lobster Sui mai, beef pho, and three sushi rolls. The Sui mai and pho was bland and flat. The sushi rolls had good flavor but the rice was very mushy and the rolls fell apart. I wasn't impressed and most likely will not return.

Visiting Florida from NYC.... And was pleasantly surprised. Amazing sushi- fresh fish, great flavors. Spicy tuna tartare ( with taro chips , yum) appetizer was a nice size portion for sharing. Large selection of special rolls and they were all amazing!

Awesome place for sushi!!! Really amazing flavor, and a lot of different varieties. I recommend the: Spicy crunch roll Spice lobster roll Lobster bomb So amazing! Service is a little slow but worth it for the sushi. Really good appetizers. And awesome tea for the wait. A little pricey but what sushi isn't.

We really like to eat sushi and frequently go out to try different restaurants in South Florida, also when we travel we like to try recommended sushi restaurants. We repeat the ones that we like most, and Rise is one of them. The food is amazing, different and very well presented. The service is great and the owners are very friendly, they always come to the table to say hi and usually send us something new to try. We recommend it!

We booked a table and after waiting for more than 20 minutes being asked to wait outside with no table in sight, we left. So much for client service and caring. Instead we went to BlueFin Sushi, received with a smile and seated quickly and wonderful service.

Wow! I have never had such an amazing sushi meal. I ordered the bluefin tuna tartare, which I thought was expensive at first; however, it was an extremely large portion and out of this world. Probably the best tuna tartare I have ever had in my life! The sushi was also very good and reasonably priced. If you live around here and like sushi, this is the place for you!

This little place, in an out of the way, unremarkable strip mall defines cool! Like most things these days, I was on a trip out of town and found myself in Deefield. Checking Yelp, I saw the great ratings this place got, so trusting my fellow Yelpers, I went for dinner. I was not disappointed. This place is absolutely amazing. The seating is limited, but the ambiance is charming and to say that the service is excellent is to do disservice to the wonderful people that take care of you there. Never did a smile leave our server's face and when we asked for recommendations, she suggested things on and off the menu, all of which we tried and ALL of which we loved. It wasn't just the quality of the food, but also the creativity of the creations and the dexterity of the flavors that truly set this experience apart. I am very stingy about giving 5 stars, but I wish I had an extra half star to award this place, just to recognize it for doing what everyone else tries to do... being excellent.

Very good sushi restaurant tucked away in the corner of the Village Corner Shops on SW 18th street. I had several friends recommend this place and I am glad I finally tried it. There were several employees from Sushi Ray that now work here, so I felt home. The place is pretty small and every table was filled when I went there. I tried the Blue Ocean roll ($22.50) and it was excellent - lobster tempura, seafood dynamite, jalapeno, seaweed salad, sesame seeds, topped with avocado and baked chilean seabass.

I am definitely a FAN! Decided to come here for a lunch date with my BFF Gre. Never knew this place existed. It is in a corner of a plaza hiding. The place is small and very modern. Nice decor and very clean. We are greeted upon walking in and we were able to choose our table. The waiter came immediately to give us menus and take our drink order. I noticed that a few reviews stated to try the Blue Ocean Roll. However, I decided to order the Deluxe shrimp tempura roll to be safe. When I received my plate I had no idea it would have tuna on the top. I have never been a fan of Tuna but since it was my fault for not paying attention to what the menu said I decided to give it a try for the first time. OMG! AMAZING! I loved it. It was so delicious. It had Shrimp tempura, asparagus, cucumber, cream cheese, avocado, and tuna on top. I have to say by far this was the best Shrimp tempura roll I have tasted. I will definitely come back here for lunch. Also, they are super fast. We were out of there in less than an hour and didn't have to rush back to work. Two thumbs up to this place!!

Love this place. Yes it is small and usually packed. In addition you need to win the lottery to get a booth but it doesn't matter. The sushi is amazing. The rolls are always fresh with new creative items to choose from. Chef Mike has created some incredible appetizers as well such as the sashimi palm trees. I eat at rise frequently and have never had a bad time. The snow mountain rolls, yellow stone roll and pyramid are a must. Lastly the Thai food, soups and stir fry dishes are great too.

Small place and very good sushi. Made a reservation for a large party and table was waiting. Super attentive wait staff and very fresh. Among the better sushi restaurants in the Boca/Delray area and portions (makis) were nice and large.

The food is excellent but the place is very small and they get very busy. So if you really want to go ... i suggest making a reservation so you are sure to get a table.

Best sushi place in Boca. Their rolls are very good! Place is too small & can get overly crowded & noisy. Need to have more tables & space to accommodate more people.

Absolutely the best Sushi around. Great people, no Boca attitude and awesome food. Always fresh. I never even look at the menu there. I just ask Chef Mike to select some of his favorites. Fabulous rolls too.

I usually frequent another sushi restaurant weekly, but was with a friend and overheard some people talking about Rise, so I decided to try it. I went early (Saturday early evening) so I could get a table. At 5pm it wasn't yet crowded. The variety of interesting dishes on the menu was appealing. Since I personally like a variety of fish in my roll, I finally chose the Crouching Tiger Roll with tuna, salmon, hamachi, masago, sesame seeds, scallion, asparagus, topped with avocado, tiger shrimp and jalapeno. It was quite good - the one problem I had with it is some of the pieces were cut too large. I looked like a chipmonk with stuffed cheeks I'm sure, trying to fit the larger pieces. Not a good look and uncomfortable, too. In general most sushi restaurants are guilty of this and need to pay more attention to size consistency since the roll slices really can't be "cut" without mutilating them and the ingredients inside. I also had some ala carte items including incredibly fresh uni, which was buttery, nutty, firm and wonderful, some very fresh Ikura (you could tell it was fresh as it was subtle instead of overly fishy as it can be), and some toro sashimi (buttery and lovely). They were out of the Sweet Shrimp which I normally order, which was sad. Unfortunately they do not have a full bar, but you can choose from the usual Asian beers, some nice Sakes and teas of various kinds. Server was prompt, pleasant and helpful with choices and information. I plan on going back and trying other things soon and will hope that they have fresh uni in stock again. Recommend.

Great consistent sushi, always our go to place. We find ourselves comparing other sushi places and usually say, "Well, it's not Rise".

Very poor quality!! Tuna should not be hot pink in color. Sushi was room temp. Staff is extremely polite but we came to eat and the food was piss poor. Would rather not eat then eat here.
By far the best sushi I've had in south Florida! Mike and Vivian always make us feel welcomed even on their busiest nights. Sushi is always fresh, rolls are creative and amazing. Have moved but still make sure to go back whenever we can, nothing else compares!

Pretty good overall, you won't go wrong with most menu items. I've had a lot of them and have always liked it. The spicy tuna seaweed app is great, great miso soup, and always enjoy their inventive roll combinations. I've never tried their hot food. It is a clean restaurant that is tucked into a plaza, but is not dumpy at all. This is why I give three stars...this place is tiny and they could use to lose a table or two to make it comfortable. If you are there at normal eating times, you do literally have to ask your neighboring table to scoot over so you can squeeze out. It is also the only sushi place where the chefs don't give you samples when you sit at the bar. When I asked what was good for the day I was told everything is good with a gesture at the bar. I tried to chat them up and just received blank stares.... I have always had decent service, but I've seen others have to wait and wait because all of the booths are reserved. What I don't get is by the time we sat and finished our meals...the booths had never been seated and there were a lot of people waiting for tables.

Ok, well I was not expecting what happened: Get here at 8 on a Sunday night. They had a good turnout for dinner, but still had the bar and a few other tables available. We decided to sit at the bar. I am gluten free. Explained my allergy and brought my own soy sauce which I have done before. The waitress appeared to be knowledgable enough asking some further questions. I ordered a salmon roll with avocado & NO masago (not GF). Also a blue crab roll with NO masago and NO spicy mayo. My dining mate ordered his gluten contaminated roll on a separate plate. ;-) We watched our orders be placed up on the top of the bar complete. I watched the clock and for about 5 minutes our food sat. Then the cooks realized they had my order wrong, pulled the plate down and proceeded to try and wipe off the roll that they put masago all over. They put the plate back up after shadely looking around to see if anyone saw them. Unreal. Our plates sat there for another 5 minutes before our waitress brought them out. So our plates sat for a total of 14 minutes out and done (including the wiping off of my roll). I inspected my rolls and found masago everywhere! Really?!?!?!? I sent it back and again explained to the waitress I have an allergy and cannot eat this. She was super nice & took it back. They made this dish correctly, but my dinner mate was left eating his dish alone while we waited another 10 minutes. I also told the waitress what we saw them do to the original dish. The food was good, but then we got the check & they did not take anything off. Unbelievable. Disgusted we paid and left. Will not be back. Very sad. :-(

We live very close by, however we never knew this place existed. We just found it on yelp, so we figured we give it a try. Went on Saturday night at around 7:00 PM and sat at the sushi bar. The place is small, but most tables were taken. We had 2 different rolls, dumpling appetizer and a house salad. Everything was fresh, the service was good, and reasonable prices. It is convenient for us and we will try it again.

Sitting at the sushi bar, watched chef pick out the items that were incorrectly added to my order, then dish was served to me. Unacceptable!! Had to sit and wait for 20 mins while they remade the order. Very poor customer service, they made it seem like it was it my fault the order was made incorrectly. If you have any type of food allergy or care about customer service, stay far away from this place!!

As a avid sushi fan, I found this to be lack luster. I ordered the double shrimp roll and the blue crab roll. The seaweed and rice were not fresh. The shrimp was very fishy tasting. I had to order a side of spicy mayo to be palatable. On top of it all, it wasn't cheap. I don't mind paying for good sushi, but this was just bad. The restaurant was also filled with asian workers yet the sushi makers were of some Spanish decent. I gave it 2 stars, instead of one, because it was fast and friendly service. Save your money, go somewhere else.

I've never used this term before but honestly, I can't think of a better term than "hidden gem" for this place. This place is tucked away in a little mini mall in West Boca... it seems like one of those places that you wouldn't know about unless you heard it by word of mouth (or Googled it... which was the case here). The restaurant is small but with nice, modern decor and the food is great. All the sushi tasted fresh and delicious! The portions were generous by far so I wasn't upset about paying the (somewhat) pricey tag. I pretty much loved everything about the place except for.. the service. The service was friendly but for some reason the food had a scheduling problem. Nothing came out together. All the appetizers we ordered didn't come at the same time but came maybe 10-15 min apart from each other. The sushi followed the same suit and one of the people in our party had to suffer in hunger while we ate TWO of our rolls and she still had received none. (Well, of course we shared ours with her but still.. she shouldn't have had to wait so long with no food..) I would definitely come back here again because I'm assuming the service thing was a fluke. However, if it happens again I'd probably try to find another place to eat...

RISE is my favorite go-to Sushi. Consistently great for a power-lunch, dinner with the whole fam, and take-out too. Mike and Vivian make you feel at home and the rolls are delicious works of art! There's even enough kitchen-prepared stuff for the non-initiated. Dozens of visits, never had a less than fantastic meal... always exceptionally fresh. Between lunch and dinners, we're there a few times a month. They are busy in-season now so call ahead for a reso, the word has spread! Favs include Tuna Tataki Ceviche (served in a martini glass), lobster bomb, jazz roll, pyramid roll, yellowstone (wife's fav), uni, toro tower, but let Mike experiment! Give a few guidelines, sit back and let him create. You will not be disappointed!

Stopped by for a late lunch. Sushi and sashimi was fresh and quite good. Mongolian chicken was good, but not actually spicy. Waiter was pleasant, but owner or manager,Michael, was looking around the at the four tables of people as if he were wandering when we would finish and leave. I would definitely go back, although some of the reviews are horrid. Not bad for a neighborhood place, but wouldn't travel more than 10 minutes to get there.

I agree whole heartily with Robert from Montauk. Please don't waste your time and money with this restaurant. There are so many fabulous sushi restaurants out there Rise is not one of them. My friend and i came in for lunch and the owner Vivian was extremely rude and very unaccommodating to myself and my friend. My friend ask if she could sub out the tuna in a lunch special for anything else of the owner's choice, possibly salmon, crab, etc whatever because she is allergic to tuna the owner Vivian said in a very rude voice no, then she said if i sub it i will have to charge you. My friend said you can sub it with anything. Again the owner had so much digression and chose to be rude. Did i mention were regulars!!!!! WE GOT UP AND LEFT! WE WENT 5 MINUTES DOWN THE ROAD TO A MUCH FRIENDLIER PLACE.

Sorry that I can't hop on the Rice Asian Bandwagon people, but it really was a let down on multiple levels. First and foremost, this place is extremely tightly packed, has terrible accoustics, and really you might as well be sitting at 1 giant community table. It's so bad that you literally have to ask the table next to you to slide their table over just so you can get out of yours, no exaggeration. The food that I tried was nothing I would want again. It wasn't bad, but it's quite expensive and leaves you yearning for nothing but a cheeseburger. The Spicy Crunchy Squid had more batter than squid, and certainly wasn't spicy in the slightest. This is a dish I would have expected to eat by itself, but instead I found myself stealing the Wasabi from my friends plate and mixing it with soy sauce just to give it some moisture and spice. I also tried the Pho Bo, a dish I wouldn't normally try at a Japanese restaurant. The way I see it though, if you are willing to boast this on your menu it better be damned good. Well... it wasn't. The meat was very thick and overly tenderized, almost to the point of being mush. There were no condiments served with it such as Basil, Cilantro, Sri Racha, or Hoison. Overall it was a weak, embarrassing version of the real thing. Now I don't mean to be so harsh on this place, maybe the sushi is fantastic. But I'm also a firm believer that your entire menu should be good, not just a particular section. I also just can't wrap my mind around how tightly packed you are when eating there.

I was in South Florida for vacation and my friend suggested Rise and I must say this please is phenomenal. I love Asian food and their sushi was delicious! I ordered their salmon, tuna and eel roll and usually you get 6-8 rolls I got 10! They were all perfect, fresh fish and packed tight so they didn't fall apart! I enjoyed my food and service so much that we came back the next day and I got the stir fry chicken and shrimp and I must say this dish was just as tasty as my sushi. Lots of flavor and great taste. Both nights we had the same waiter and he was very nice and on top of checking on how we were doing and refilling our drinks. I was very impressed and will definitely come here again next time I'm in town!

Very good quality fish. Reasonable (for sushi) prices. Restaurant tucked away in a small plaza which makes it hard to find/see from the road and thank goodness! I would hate to have to wait for a table at lunch time. I have no doubt that any sushi restaurant has ebbs and flows with the product but, Rise is consistently very good. Anyone who has had a bad experience (I find it difficult to imagine) really should go back again. I am a frequent diner primarily at lunch. I have had them cater parties at my house and they make incredible sushi boats with impressive visuals!

May be the best sushi I've ever eaten. Did not charge extra for Ponzu sauce which we love. Two ate for $19.08, plus tip. I plan to go back next time I'm in Boca.

The food is very good, but everything that people mentioned in earlier reviews about the crowds and the service is true. I had lobster tempura roll and it was yummy. The miso soup was different from other places and it had tiny bits of noodles in it. I usually have miso soup that is just clear with a bit of wakame seaweed and tofu. As far as the service is concerned, it just seems like the staff is stressed out. I felt like they were happy to see us leave so that they could seat the next customers. It's super crowded and you are sitting so close to other people they'll start talking to you. I would definitley do take out again though, or I would go on off hours.

Yummy yum yum yum yum yummy. This place always gets it rice....I mean right. The rolls are creative, the fish fresh and the owners....awesome. We love to go to Rise. In our opinion, the best sushi in boca, parkland, coral springs. You must go. Say hi to Michael who is behind the sushi bar and Vivian who works he front. Why you still reading this? Get up and go there...now.

Live in Coral Springs, and a friend loves this place so we decided to take a trip out here. I would say better than average sushi. Not mind blowing or earth shattering, but definitely enjoyable. I would definitely eat here again if I was in the area, but it wasn't that amazing to drive 20+ minutes for. Waitress was a bit grumpy too.

Hidden in a shopping center that has great Fro-Yo and a very good marketplace that sells Poland Spring water. Rise is on point, whether its the sushi or the hot dishes like the Goyma Chicken, best overall Japanese spot in Boca. be prepared to wait though service is slow but its worth the wait. You are welcome

Simple WoW - just moved from San Francisco & was ready to be disappointed with our first sushi experience this placed rock it - started with the Spicy Crunch Roll, now my all time fav roll then ordered the Double Shrimp Roll which was just perfect - everything just amazing 4 *'s highly recommend this place.

Got two rolls. Dancing eel and tuna with avocado. Both were delicious. They use a thin amount of rice on the rolls which is fantastic and hard to find (most places put way too much rice perhaps to give the roll a larger appearance?!). Rise has it down, they also use a proper amount of fish. Rolls are sized quite nice - not skimpy and not too large. Definitely will be back in my next passing through. Every bit of delicious although the prices were a bit steep - yes, even for sushi.

My wife and I lived in Boca for two years, right around the corner from Rise. I loved the place so much that they knew us by sight every time we went in. My wife isn't a big fish eater and she always managed to get a decent plate of stir fried Mongolian beef while i tried everything else including the Chilean Sea bass in XO (WONDERFUL, but due to the conservation status of the fish I no longer eat it unless it's certified sustainably caught.) a few of the rolls which were all great. The best experience I believe I had was when I felt like having a seafood tempura but they didn't offer it, I asked offhanded if they could make one off the menu and it was delicious, numerous types of fish and vegetables all individually cooked to tempura perfection and served timely so everything was nice and hot and crispy. I love Rise and I encourage everyone to go, I just wish they had a larger restaurant and it was in West Palm Beach now, where we moved.

HORRIBLE SERVICE & BROWN SASHIMI I've been to this restaurant before, and vowed I would never go again, because last time I ordered a Sashimi plater, several of the pieces exhibited signs of rancidity (brown streaks through the flesh, overly fishy smelling pieces that I know shouldn't be that strong smelling, etc). The service was subpar, even by South Florida standards. The seating was also very cramped - this can be somewhat acceptable if the restaurant was either very affordable or very good - this restaurant is far from either. I returned, to this horrible place because of a starving girlfriend wanting some hot udon soup and we were driving by it. We just wanted some hot udon soup - in my mind they couldn't screw that up. After a somewhat long wait with all the servers being in lala land, we were finally seated. Our drinks and (cooked) appetizer ordered, when we were TOLD TO MOVE because we were seated in reserved seats. Note: I am saying "TOLD" we were NOT ASKED - they simply stated we had to move, the dopey waitress picking up our drinks and moving them to another table without even saying "sorry for the inconvenience". This restaurant takes service on a whole new low. Long Story - Short = Don't visit this restaurant.

That's it, never again, this place used to be good , but Vivian the owner is very rude, the service is awful, and they know how to take reservations, but don't understand that it means there should be a table for you at that time! Avoid this terrible place. It deserves 0 stars but Yelp forces me to give it one!

I've been to this restaurant a bunch of times in groups ranging from 2 to 6, most recently today for lunch. Food: 3 out of 3 I reserve a "3 out of 3" rating for food that I could say is "the best X I've ever had." Rise is the best quality sushi I've ever had, hands down. All of the fish is fresh, expertly cut, and delicious. The chirashi is a favorite entree of mine. Last time I went for dinner, they had a special toro roll that was the most decadent roll I've ever had. The texture of the toro was so delicate that it almost didn't feel like fish. I've also had some non-sushi dishes here and they've been great as well. I've had the duck salad before and enjoyed it (although I didn't expect the duck to be fried). Even their miso soup is top-notch, with herbs and enoki mushrooms floating around in it. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Service: 1 out of 1 My parents are regulars, so perhaps my view of the service is a little skewed, but we get treated like family at Rise. Most of the wait staff recognizes us and greets us by name. When we had the aforementioned special toro roll, it wasn't on the menu. My parents had it before and asked for it to be made special and they happily obliged. No complaints here. Other factors: 1 out of 1 The restaurant is beautifully decorated (although it is a little weird to see a restaurant with such nice decorations have a lone TV up on the wall). It's a small restaurant and can get crowded, but I've never had to wait for a seat. In any event, I'd gladly wait for a seat here. Congratulations to Rise, my first 5-star review!

I travel to come here and I'm always very pleased. If I have guests from out of town this is a must stop. Some of my friends compare this gem to some of the best in NewYork or La. Mike and Vivian always make a special effort to make my dinner special! Try the Blue Crab Tartar its just a slice of heaven on a plate.

We had Sushi and it was good, nothing out of this world, but good. Prices are higher then most other Sushi places so we typically go somewhere else.

One of the best Sushi places I've ever been to, in South Florida. Yes, it's small and yes, it can get crowded but the seating still manages to be comfortable and intimate. The food itself is superb! I really love their sashimi salads and real Jasmine tea (Im not talking about that teabag stuff, they use real leaves brewed in a stone kettle, as a tea drinker..I was impress to say the least). The entire staff is friendly and accommodating, even when they are at their busiest. Im so glad that they are here...right around the block from my house. If you are a sushi lover, this is not a place you would want to miss!!!

Oh my! I cannot get enough of the tuna and avocado tartar.... why didn't anyone think of this before? We have found the wine list to be exceptional, and the service is perfect whether we walk in as a couple, or with eight friends. Never tried anything we didn't LOVE; truly a find!

On the borderline between Boca and deerfield is this little gem of a restaurant. Located in a cozy shopping plaza.. Friends told us the food is great. We visited and were not disappointed. The wahoo bites are superb-albeit it is fried! The mayonnaise dipping sauce is a great compliment. The small dnner salad with ginger dressing is great too. The salmon roll cooked was my favorite as well as the roll with tempura lobster and fresh cooked chilean sea bass on top. The chinese beef with peppers was great as well. What's so nice is there is chinese, thai, and japanese available for dining. The place is small but packed with regulars. The owners and staff very consistently warm and friendly with all customers. So yes I'm a fan!

Food was good but service stinks!! Very rude and did not pay attention to us.... Only seemed to pay attention to "regulars" and when we were ready to py the check. Don't waste your time. There are other great sushi places to go to.....

(5)James S.
(5)Adam G.
Went when I was in Florida for vacation. Great sushi and the servers were very knowledgeable and helpful. Kind of cool that the shop was tucked away in the corner of a little shopping center. Would recommend!
(4)Sheryl C.
My favorite local sushi joint. Love both Mike and Vivian. Come here so often they comp the edamame! The Yellowstone is their best roll served with warm sea bass on top.
(5)Jennifer S.
Small restauraunt- make a reservation can get packed and a little loud Coming from a new yorker this place has some amazing sushi!! Everything tastes so fresh. They have great appetizer selections as well as specialty rolls.
(5)Joanna S.
Absolutely amazing food! I have lived here my whole life and just recently discovered this place and will be a regular! The soup is bursting with flavor and very filling and all sushi is very fresh and large portions. I can't say enough good things from the wonderful wait staff to the quick service and just outstanding food.
(5)Galina P.
The best sushi in Boca! love it!!! 5 stars! great service! the most delicios. My favorite is Red Dragon! yummy!!!
(5)Dinesh A.

(2)Amy M.
Delicious sushi and great service! They went out of their way to accommodate my elderly mother and myself without a reservation. That spoke volumes of the kind of people they are.. I will be back!
(5)Danielle J.
(5)C. A.
(3)Rich M.
(5)Al M.
Without a doubt the best sushi place in south Florida, never ever a bad piece of sushi
(4)JACOB B.
(3)Liliane P.
Sushi was absolutely amazing! So fresh! Service was excellent. Would definitely go back.
(5)Kevin M.
WOW!

(3)Michael H.
(5)Jenna B.
Hands down the best sushi restaurant around! Sushi is my favorite food and I've tried many of restaurants, this is by far the best quality sushi I've had in all of South Florida!
(5)Corey K.
(2)Scott P.
(5)Melissa N.
Date night with the Hubs in a great place! Great ambiance and modern clean place. We came here for the sushi and it did not let us down. Really fresh fish, nicely rolled rolls and very tasty appetizers. A nice place to go for sushi in the area.
(4)Greshka P.
(4)Michael K.
(4)Jessica P.
Best Lunch special! 3 rolls and soup or salad for about $10. Their shrimp salad roll is my favorite!
(5)Terrance A.
Rise has the best sushi I have found in the area so far. The decor is nice, the service was fast and the server we had was pleasant and attentive. Overall it was a nice experience and we will go again. If I had any complaints I would say it's a bit pricey but this is Boca and good sushi is rarely cheap.
(4)Jessi M.
(2)A G.
Best sushi in all of South Florida. I kid you not. I cannot imagine anything better. Unreal !! A must if you're into sushi. Very busy, service excellent, many unique dishes plus the traditional rolls, sashimi, tamaki, wide soup variety too. This place rocks.
(5)E N.
(5)Stephanie L.
This place is so good! Everything taste super fresh and its a smaller place so they put more into the roll. You can tell they care about the food. So so good!
(5)Alejandro C.
We've tried all sushi restaurants from boca to Aventura. This is it. Not going anywhere else.
(5)Michele B.
(2)Kevin S.
The sushi is delicious, Vivian & staff are super nice. We eat and/or pick up from here every week, many times more than once.
(5)Dara B.
Visiting Florida from NYC.... And was pleasantly surprised. Amazing sushi- fresh fish, great flavors. Spicy tuna tartare ( with taro chips , yum) appetizer was a nice size portion for sharing. Large selection of special rolls and they were all amazing!
(5)Jacob K.
(4)Stacy Z.
This is the second time I've been here and it hasn't disappointed me yet. Very delicious sushi and great service. Great atmosphere and everything we ordered was yummy!!!
(5)Enrique u.
(5)Samy D.
We booked a table and after waiting for more than 20 minutes being asked to wait outside with no table in sight, we left. So much for client service and caring. Instead we went to BlueFin Sushi, received with a smile and seated quickly and wonderful service.
(1)Deb S.
Great little place. Fresh fast friendly creative. Decent wine list great sake and beers.
(4)Izzie C.
(5)Nicolee Y.
Best sushi in town. Super fresh YellowStone Roll is the Bomb
(5)Robbie W.
Very good food there. Their salads were fresh and delicious. Although, I had to wait forty five minutes even though I had reservations. Not in a rush to go back.
(3)Allen F.
(5)Bill S.
(4)Tanya L.

The owner came to table to make sure how we wanted our order.! I don't live here anymore but when I come in in town I usually come here.! Just try and you will love it.!

(5)Shane W.
The food is excellent but the place is very small and they get very busy. So if you really want to go ... i suggest making a reservation so you are sure to get a table.
(5)Jeff A.
Absolutely amazing food. I have been here three times and each time is better than the last. Highly recommended.
(5)Anne I.
Best sushi place in Boca. Their rolls are very good! Place is too small & can get overly crowded & noisy. Need to have more tables & space to accommodate more people.
(4)Bill F.

(4)Patricia G.
I love this place. Always fresh. My favorite is the shrimp salad roll.
(5)Charles S.
Very poor quality!! Tuna should not be hot pink in color. Sushi was room temp. Staff is extremely polite but we came to eat and the food was piss poor. Would rather not eat then eat here.

My first interactions with Rise came while trying to coordinate my dropping off a pie to celebrate my grandfather's wedding. He and his fiancée have chosen a date in 2020 to get married. They are registered at the Pharmacy Department at CVS. Deal with it. I didn't have a problem with the service on a Friday night, but several people in my party did. They felt that the waitress couldn't care less about our table, and with the amount of sushi we were eating, and the number of sake refills we got, she should have. My problem was the sushi itself was extremely mediocre. In a place like Florida where you should be able to get fresh fish pretty easily (especially if you're paying higher prices) this is inexcusable. But don't tell that to the locals. The line and the wait has people thinking that the sushi options in Boca are not plentiful. This may be true, but I wouldn't wait to get in here.
(3)Amy R.
By far the best sushi I've had in south Florida! Mike and Vivian always make us feel welcomed even on their busiest nights. Sushi is always fresh, rolls are creative and amazing. Have moved but still make sure to go back whenever we can, nothing else compares!
(5)Joao D.
Had lunch, not bad...wish they had more sauces for sushi...only soy on the table. I guess I needed to ask. clean and nice environment. good service
(3)Richard R.
Very good Sushi, probably the best I've had in South Florida. Good service, very fresh fish. Have no second thoughts of recommending Rise to everybody.

(4)Danielle M.
This is my favorite sushi restaurant! Sushi is always fresh, my favorite rolls are deluxe spicy tuna and Mexican roll. Omg... How I want it right now!
(5)Gregory C.
(1)Mary L.

(5)Ron A.

The Tom Yum wonton soup is Amazing! The hot Saki was smooth and tasty. Definitely come back again

(5)Chris U.
(5)Scott W.
May be the best sushi I've ever eaten. Did not charge extra for Ponzu sauce which we love. Two ate for $19.08, plus tip. I plan to go back next time I'm in Boca.
(5)Denise O.
(4)Scott T.
(5)Keith B.
(4)Justin S.
(5)Thomas C.
(5)Angela S.
(5)Travis H.
(5)Susan M.
I was told this was amazing sushi- -and it was!!!! Everything was so fresh and yummy! Can't wait to go back next time I am in from Chicago!

(1)Robert S.
That's it, never again, this place used to be good , but Vivian the owner is very rude, the service is awful, and they know how to take reservations, but don't understand that it means there should be a table for you at that time! Avoid this terrible place. It deserves 0 stars but Yelp forces me to give it one!
(1)Lisa P.
What a great place !! loved it! very fresh
(4)Jared P.
Great food. Vivian the owner is great. Try the spicy toro & snow mountain roll

(5)Mark S.
(5)Jon L.
We had Sushi and it was good, nothing out of this world, but good. Prices are higher then most other Sushi places so we typically go somewhere else.
(3)Cat L.
(5)p k.
Oh my! I cannot get enough of the tuna and avocado tartar.... why didn't anyone think of this before? We have found the wine list to be exceptional, and the service is perfect whether we walk in as a couple, or with eight friends. Never tried anything we didn't LOVE; truly a find!
(5)j g.
(4)Benjamin D.
Food was good but service stinks!! Very rude and did not pay attention to us.... Only seemed to pay attention to "regulars" and when we were ready to py the check. Don't waste your time. There are other great sushi places to go to.....
